2023 NCAA Tournament schedule: March Madness bracket, game dates, locations, tipoff times, TV channels

Under The Radar National Championship Contenders

South Region

2-Arizona Wildcats

A 2-seed is under the radar because Alabama, the 1-seed, is such a big-time favorite.

Tommy Lloyd’s Arizona Wildcats team is loaded. Zona’s success starts with Kerr Kriisa. If the point guard doesn’t play out of control, few teams will handle a front line that includes tough players Oumar Ballo and Azuolas Tubelis.

For sure, the Wildcats can score a March Madness NCAA Tournament upset victory over Alabama and win the South Region.

3-Baylor Bears

Scott Drew’s team doesn’t head into the March Madness NCAA Tournament playing their best hoops. The Bears finished the regular season and Big 12 Tournament losing 4-of-6.

However, pay-per-head agents that don’t keep an eye on Baylor could lose a lot of money. Drew is a master at getting his team to peak during the March Madness tourney.

Baylor is another team under the radar in the South because Alabama dominated a deep SEC. The Bears are for real.

East Region

5-Duke Blue Devils

Among every team in the March Madness NCAA Tournament, the one that looks to have gotten a great setup. Duke shouldn’t be a 5-seed.

But the Blue Devils aren’t complaining. Oral Roberts is a good team. However, on March 16, Duke should roll past Oral Roberts.

The Devils enter the March Madness tourney on a 9-game winning streak. No under-the-radar NCAA March Madness Preview would be complete without discussing the 5-seed Duke Blue Devils.

Duke’s bracket, they’re likely to face slow Purdue in the Sweet 16, sets up for a Dookies’ run to the Final Four.

6-Kentucky Wildcats

On the bottom half of the bracket, John Calipari and the Kentucky Wildcats have been playing well enough to upset the 2-seed Marquette Golden Eagles.

Coach Cal’s team lost 2 of their last 3. Both losses came against Vanderbilt. Vandy is in the NIT. So Kentucky mustn’t face the one rival in the Southeastern Conference that has their number.

For sure, Big Blue can return to its past glory. Not only that, but the Wildcats and Coach Cal are hungry for March Madness success after losing to St. Peters in the first round last season.

Midwest Region

3-Xavier Musketeers

Like Arizona and Baylor in the South Region, Xavier is a low seed flying under the radar. The Musketeers are under the radar because the top seed in the Midwest is Houston, the +550 favorite to win the March Madness NCAA Tournament.

The Cougars send one of the most excellent defenses in college basketball to the floor. Teams average less than 57 points per game versus Houston.

Xavier is one of the nation’s top-scoring teams, though. So if it comes down to the Musketeers versus the Cougars, we should be in for a fantastic game.

Bookmaker software agents should set max limits on Xavier to win the Midwest. Sean Miller returned this season, and already the Musketeers are rocking and rolling.

7-Texas A&M Aggies

How can a Power 5 team that went 10-2 in their final 12 and lost their conference tournament final not score a higher seed than a 7?

Texas A&M is much better than their seed implies. Wade Taylor IV might be the best point guard in the nation. Not only that, but the Aggies beat Alabama during the regular season.

So A&M, which is +5000 to cut down the nets on April 3, has all the makings of a serious Cinderella. Agents running bookie websites like you must set maximum limits on A&M to win the Midwest.

West Region

3-Gonzaga Bulldogs

Drew Timme, coach Mark Few, and the rest of the Zags finished their regular season spanking Saint Mary’s, the 5-seed in the Midwest Region, on their way to winning 22 of their final 25 games.

Granted, the Zags play in the West Coast Conference, where they dominate—still, winning 22-of-25 games impresses. Also, Gonzaga is one of those teams that has garnered bookie tips, meaning bookies believe the Zags are for real.

Few might have his best chance ever of winning the NCAA Tournament, and the Zags have garnered a whisper regarding their chances. Sportsbook software agents should set max limits on Gonzaga to win the West.

4-Connecticut Huskies

The UConn Huskies started the season on fire. There was a stretch where the Huskies could have performed better. But UConn bounced back, playing their best basketball of the season in the end.

The Huskies are plenty good enough to win the March Madness Final Four. UConn has the inside-outside game teams require to cut down the nets after the final whistle.

However, Connecticut locking down a trip to the Sweet 16 won’t be easy. Iona is a talented squad. So the Huskies face a challenging first game.
