BossAction’s College Football Week 7 Preview

NCAAF Week 7 promises to be the most important yet, as three undefeated matchups occur in three separate Power 5 Conferences.

NCAAF fans should expect changes in the top ten for the first time this season. The Big Ten, Big 12, and SEC boast matchups between undefeated and top fifteen-ranked teams.

For sure, pay per head agents are in line for an action-generating Saturday. In addition to the undefeated matchups, Clemson takes on rival Florida State in Tallahassee, and 7-ranked USC throws down against Utah in Salt Lake.

2022 College Football Week 7 – Saturday

College Football Week 7 2022 – Top 5 Games

10-Penn State Nittany Lions at 5-Michigan Wolverines – 12:00 pm ET – FOX

ATS odds: Michigan -6.5

Both the Nittany Lions and the Wolverines enter this with undefeated records. Michigan is 6-0. Penn State is 5-0.

The Nittany Lions are the best team the Wolverines have faced this season. But Michigan is 6-2 against the spread in the last 8 meetings. Also, Penn State struggled in week 6 when only beating a bad Northwestern squad 17-7.

Agent Suggestion: NCAAF handicappers are almost evenly split. As of Friday, Michigan is attracting 53% of the action, and Penn State is attracting 47%. By Friday night, the Wolverines should pull away. The game happens in Ann Arbor. Set max limits on the Nittany Lions money line and use your layoff account if players pound the Wolverines.

3-Alabama Crimson Tide at 6-Tennessee Volunteers – 3:30 pm ET – CBS

ATS odds: Alabama -7.5

Bryce Young didn’t play last week, so the Tide struggled to a 24-20 win over rival Texas A&M as a -24 home chalk. No doubt, Bama will start Young on Saturday.

They’ll have to. Tennessee quarterback Hendon Hooker leads a terrific Volunteers’ squad. For the first time in what feels like a decade, the Volunteers have a legit chance to upset the Crimson Tide straight up.

Agent Suggestion: Pro players have jumped on the Volunteers, but casual players are on the Tide. We know this because 66% back Tennessee, but the line moved from 7 to 7.5. P

Pros bet late. Casual players throw money down early. Use your bookie software to manage action in your pay per head sportsbook.

9-Oklahoma State Cowboys at 13-TCU Horned Frogs – 3:30 pm ET – ABC

ATS odds: TCU -3.5

Both teams send fantastic quarterbacks to the field. Oklahoma State QB Spencer Sanders has thrown for 1,394 yards and has tossed 12 touchdowns with just 2 interceptions.

TCU quarterback Max Duggan is a Heisman Trophy contender. Duggan completes 73% of his passes.

Max has thrown 14 touchdowns and just a single interception. In NCAAF Week 6, Duggan rallied the Horned Frogs to a victory over then-undefeated Kansas.

Both defenses are solid, but this should be a crazy high-scoring game. The offenses are unstoppable.

Agent Suggestion: Sportsbook pay per head agents must set max limits on the Oklahoma State money line. The Cowboys are good enough to win this game. Also, agents should use their layoff account if required for the spread and the total.

4-Clemson Tigers at Florida State Seminoles – 4:30 pm ET – ABC

ATS odds: Clemson -3.5

Dabo Swinney’s squad has shown they’re a much better team than the disappointment that was the 2021 Clemson Tigers.

On Saturday, Clemson is searching for its seventh straight win. The team Clemson faces, Florida State, is also much improved from last season. After starting the season 4-0, FSU has lost 2 straight versus Wake Forest and NC State.

Agent Suggestion: 70% are willing to lay the 3.5 on Clemson. But Florida State tackles the Tigers on their field in Tallahassee. No doubt, the Seminoles will be ready. Set max limits on the FSU money line for sure.

 7-USC Trojans at 20-Utah Utes – 7:30 pm ET – FOX

ATS odds: Utah -3.5

Undefeated USC has its sights set on a Pac-12 title and a trip to the College Football Playoff. Head coach Lincoln has both the offense motoring and the defense dominating.

USC QB Caleb Williams faces the most formidable defense he has faced so far this season. Utah has a strong quarterback in Cam Rising and will be looking to bounce back after a tough road loss in Pasadena versus the UCLA Bruins.

Agent Suggestion: Utah is -3.5, and so far, most college football handicappers aren’t biting. Nearly 60% of NCAAF handicappers believe the Trojans cover the 3.5 points.

USC, for sure, can win this straight up. But the Trojans would be a better play if this were in SoCal.

Utah is 4-1 ATS in the last 5 meetings at home and 4-0 against the spread in their previous 4 games. Payperhead agents should consider setting max limits on the USC ML and using their layoff account if the action goes the other way.
