NBA Conference Semifinals Odds

While the Denver Nuggets look like a strong favorite on paper, the NBA Conference semifinals odds are anything but predictable. Sure, they boast the reigning MVP Nikola Jokic, and haven’t lost a game at home this postseason. But the Minnesota Timberwolves are a young, hungry team with Anthony Edwards putting on a show. This Western Conference Semifinal promises to be a thrilling battle.

Denver Nuggets

If sports fans were smart enough to bet on the Nuggets when they were down 0-2 to start their series with the Timberwolves, they would be smiling now. This is why bookies should always have limits in, as you never know when teams can turn things around. In this case, it was when Nikola Jokic decided to put it into a higher gear. In Game 5, he produced 40 points, 13 assists, and seven rebounds.

Minnesota Timberwolves

A big part of their success has come through Anthony Edwards, who averaged 33.3 points on 60.4% shooting in the first four games. However, with point guard Mike Conley injured in Game 5, the Nuggets were able to focus more on Edwards and effectively blanket him. The Wolves’ odds of getting out of round two could ride on whether Conley can return in Game 6 from his sore right Achilles.

New York Knicks

Despite all their injuries, the Knicks have shown they are still an offensive powerhouse. Although they scored below 100 points in Game 4, they bounced back in Game 5, winning 121-91. They have until Friday’s game to rest and repeat their last performance.

Indiana Pacers

The Pacers led the league in the shortest time per possession during the regular season and continued that pace in the playoffs. They’re young, but that kind of offense takes a lot of energy. To win this series, they need to go to Game 7. Do they have enough gas in the tank?

Oklahoma City Thunder

The Thunder were able to even up the score against the Mavericks, with Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scoring 34 points in Game 4. He’s averaged 31 points per game in this series, but four other starters are averaging below their regular-season points. They’ll have to up their game if this young team hopes to make it to the next round.

Dallas Mavericks

Game 4 against the Thunder should have gone to the Mavs, who were leading most of the game. But the Thunder wouldn’t give up and took the lead and held it at the end. Game 5 will probably be another close one, with Luka Doncic’s ankles possibly being the deciding factor.
