Milan’s Pre-Season: Squad Shaping Up Under Allegri Before Chelsea Clash
AC Milan’s coach, Massimiliano Allegri, will use this weekend to test his squad in two major pre-season games: the first against Leeds United in Dublin and the top-level clash against Chelsea. Milan’s recent results include a 9-0 victory over Perth Glory, a 4-2 win against Liverpool, and a 1-0 loss to Arsenal.
The Rossoneri did not have an ideal past season, finishing 8th in the Serie A standings with 63 points, just two points shy of a European competition spot. In the recent transfer window, they saw defender Emerson Royal and Leonardo D’Alessio depart for Flamengo and Novara FC, respectively. However, the club has made substantial additions with the signings of Pervis Estupiñan, Ardon Jashari from Club Brugge, and the iconic Croatian midfielder, Luka Modrić.
